Again, in the interest of keeping everyone informed - from the Team 1 site:

what does the hook up to the Houston group look like.  Is that set or do I need to make a run to Mississippi?

Thanks
Coke,

Still not seeing anyone signed up in MS.  Plus we haven't finalized the date for the lizard to get to Birmingham.  So no definite plans with respect to dates at this time.

Anyway, I could probably make Hot Springs, AR for a hand-off.  I have never been there but a hot soak sounds inviting after 400 plus miles, so that could be a good destination.  That would let us check off MS too as my route would take me through Tupelo.

If I need to go in a more southerly direction I could meet somewhere in Louisiana with someone from the Houston contingency.

Let me know what you guys need me to do.

So if kpier883 is planning to run up to AR or I could meet some where at AR / TN / MS border, maybe me, roach, Taxi and Zeek can run from my house at the edge of the AR/OK line down through OK, down to north of houston for the hand off.  or if you are going to just go to LA and meet kpier883 then we will want to do something on the way back with OK, AR, and TN maybe over to the carolinas before turning around and heading back west

Hi guys, right now the lizard is still in Atlanta.  I think it will be in Birmingham by the weekend, but still working out the final plans for the B'ham handoff.  Like I said before, I can meet with coke or motocyconomad.

I can not do a meet up this coming weekend.  the next weekend would be ok if I don't need to do any riding on Friday to make an early Saturday hook up that is too many mile to make on the saturday itself. (does that make sense)

Hey guys, be sure to take your time and schedule your rides for what is best for you! GZ can chill in B-ham for a week. ;) You have plenty of time; it snowed here 4 days ago. :o

Hoping to meet Marc / K3Owner tomorrow east of Birmingham tomorrow.  But he is having some ignition issues that started after the pickup from the Atlanta group and that could delay his trip.  We are rolling with it and will continue to post updates.

Coke - What would you think of an evening meetup on March 21st in Van Buren?  Maybe get some dinner and then I'll head back east a ways and finish the ride home on the 22nd?  I have some plans for that weekend.

I wont be home.  I will be in San Antonio to visit my sister during my spring break.  However, I could give you my address and you could drop off the little monster at my house.  I could work with Taxi and Roach Carver to set up a trip down though AR, OK, LA and then into TX to meet up with a Houston rider.  When do the  Houston riders need GZ O3 to be their way.

I think GZ3 should hit Birmingham this weekend.  If Kirk is able, he may want to ride to AR, I can't.  If he can't, GZ3 will ride brown.

Doesn't sound like TN is included on this leg YET??

You guys doing the ride to the Blue Ridge Pkwy in May? I understand a Nashville group is meeting up with a large Atlanta group near Chattanooga. I'm hoping to be in that part of the country and will probably meet up at the north end in Waynesboro, VA that first night. Bluezboy (Vern) told me about it.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Tugboat, check the Team 1 thread; maybe you can meet up with the AL riders? Looks like you are about 200 miles from Birmingham.

Zilla has been stuck in GA, but K3 has his bike raring to go now.  Next stop looks to be Birmingham, AL - Barber Race Track. Would love to go there, bucket list, they have an incredible bike museum as well as 1st class race circuit. Weather may be an issue this weekend for them, but once they get rolling west, we will have a better idea of dates/handoffs.

Coke - how far east do you plan to ride for the pick up?
Taxi - could you handoff to a TX rider in Mid April in DFW or Hou?

depends on the date.  I am willing to do a long ride on a weekend, but I don't think I can take off during the week right now.
I can leave Friday 28th in the afternoon.  I could keep GZ here until April 13 and then meet the Houston bunch if Taxi and RC find that weekend date suits them
