Just wanted to say hello to all the existing members of this forum. Glad I could find it and I'm sure it'll be able to help me with all my questions I will have.
This is my very first motorcycle and first time to be riding one in the near future. As pathetic as it may sound, I had watched the US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and fell in love with her motorcycle. It made me slightly interested in getting a motorcycle but the thought was never set. Fast forward to tax time and seeing how my budget was fairly limited, I saw getting a good used car impossible and fixing mine wasn't worth it. So with the week of waiting to get my tax returns, my roommate helped me browse and he found this: 1976 Honda CB750. Let's just say I was in love whenever I saw it. Here are the pictures the previous owner posted on his CL ad.
The three pictures below are the day after I got it and me just admiring the beauty of it. The seat included was actually one his roommate owned and was okay with parting with.
The white is some latex material, forgot the name of it though. He put it on there because he was thinking about painting the bike white. I took that off and here is a picture as of last Thursday.
Right now I am learning how to ride and getting used to it. I will be getting insurance, getting it inspected, registered and a new title sometime within this week. Then I plan to work my way into getting a permit and then a license.
Sorry for such a long intro but I look forward to the knowledge I will receive from this forum and if anyone has some tips for a new rider/owner please share them! Thanks for your time.
