My experience with a bad ComStar was that the guy at the tire shop(automotive) told me the wheel had trued easily, but would run out of true again because the oval headed bolts at the hub weren't holding anymore. Before I put the wheel back on the bike( after truing) I ground off one of the hub nuts, replaced with hex head bolt and nut, torqued it down, ground off the next, etc. until all had been replaced. It never caused a problem again.
