RaceTech emulators and 750 sohc 35 mm forks.

RaceTech emulators and 750 sohc 35 mm forks. Hi chaps, I need a bit of advice. Busy building my front forks using RaceTech emulators and springs. I think that I have all the parts in the correct place. Does the spring make direct contact with the emulator or should there be a thin washer in between ?  I attached a pic for u to look at. In connection with the fork oil seals, am I correct in stating that the seal number should face out wards as in the pic. In other words the seals lips face inwards to to fork.  How do I set up the emulator for Race Track use? Thanks for the help.

The seal should be installed as shown (that side up). The fork spring directly contacts the emulator.

Mind you these settings are for 750F3 forks on a lighter CB550, but some information for you to start. I have the smaller diameter RT springs, so use 40 in/lb emulator springs & 3 turns because there wasn't the 4mm clearance they ask for between emulator valve plate OD and spring ID. I have .85kg fork springs, and limit travel to 115mm with a damper rod spacer under the top out spring with 1 rebound hole. I use 15W oil @ 175mm. Preload is 32mm and sag is +-28%.

A few years ago I updated my CB750F2 fork with those emulators, see this forum (dutch)

I didn't use spacers, spring direct on the emulator.
To find a good setting of the emulator you have to adjust the hexagonal socket bolt.
