Hi,
This is my first post been lurking on this site for some time the collective knowledge hear is amazing for the sohc !  Mr. Benton the lay down drag bike is cool as hell i would be proud to own it ! This tread brought me to join and post my father ( names Keith also ) was very good friends with the late Keith B. Robinson and i knew him as well. My father Worked at MSI and Precision Honda and went to the races with him working as the crew and racing  himself. Looking threw Keith's scrape book found a pic of one version of the 750 he ran on fuel with double back bone frame. The frame possibly could have been his ? My pop doesn't remember it having a two rear axle slots ? And can't find a side view shot of it.   Hopefully this works pix should be attached. I'll try to have my pop answer any questions you might have.

Regards,

       Josh

Thanks will try to post in new members area. Soon! The motor would have been built by MSI the only work that was not done at MSI was the cylinder head porting. That was done at yoshimura east's by Gene Klomecklio ( passibly not spelled right ? ). If the motor was done at MSI the motor vin possibly should be milled off and MSI and # stamped there ? The 750's he ran were all injected on nitro 1060cc or stroked to 1160cc Saw the pixs posted off the golden rods thats bad a$$ !

Not to often less you were forced to jump on the kick starter to spin it  lol ! The 1160cc sohc with webers that was Keiths personal bike is a bear to kick start haven't done so in a few years ! lol. That is awesome  i can only imagine the port work is almost flawless and bike probably rips ! My pops memory is somewhat vague and he doesn't tell me much lol.  If you pm me your phone number will def be in contact !

Fantastic!!! 8)

Josh, welcome to the forums.  I'm so glad that you can help.  Nothing pleases a vintage bike nut more than being able to learn more about his vintage bike!!!!  ;D

We'd all love to see more info and/or pictures of that bike.

Still collecting parts for the 970. Money's tight so I may just got with some stock rods and get them shotpeened.
Sleeves are located, just need to get them shipped.
Need to decide on a cam...
Looking like a winter build at this point. Be glad to get her back in the chopper, I need that '78 motor for another build.
