Any tips to shorten throttle and clutch cables on 76 cb550
« on: February 27, 2013, 05:41:59 AM »
Anyone have any advice/tips on removing the adjustment nuts that are crimped on the carburator and clutch end of the control cable housings to facilitate the shortening of the cables?  I did do a search and there is lots of info on soldering on a new end piece but no tips on getting the crimped adjusters off the motor end of the cable in a fashion that will allow them to be re-used again once the cables are cut and new ends soldered on.  Love to hear how others have dealt with it before starting to hack away.  thanks
