Dunlop k70's, are radials that have a retro look.  They look right at home on an SOHC four!  I chose them for my k2 because they keep my bike looking vintage and stock!  Best of all, they have the performance of today's modern radials!  Antique bias ply tires are just that, inferior and outdated.  You really won't like the way your bike rides with bias ply tires.  If your local bike shop doesn't stock k70's, just ask them to order you some or order the k70's online.

Justin, the K70 is bias ply, not radial.   Almost every tire for our bikes are bias ply  and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.
Look at the last listing at the bottom of the page in this link..

If you want a vintage look,  check at the K81 or TT100 dunlop, they are a better road tire than the K70... ;)  TT100's are the second last tire on that link

Thanks, for the correction, retro rocket!  I saw an r on the sidewall of my k70's and assumed they were radials.  I have been very happy with my k70's, Andy 750, recommended them to me.  The bike performs really good with these tires, so I agree bias plys are just fine for our SOHC fours.  I will check out the tires you recommended, thanks.  I had 4 bias plies on a '69 dodge charger once upon a time.  I reshod the charger with 4 radials, and the car handled and drove much better, but we are talking about a 4,000 lbs car, not a 500lbs bike.  I guess the weight on bias plies makes a difference.  Thanks again, retro rocket.

Gday Justin, yeah, bias ply tires on a car are a completely different kettle of fish...

I run Michelin Pilot Activ's on my 650, they are a bias ply tyre and grip well in turns, till I run out of tyre to grip with, they get a little squirrely when I'm nearly dragging my pegs, which are a long way up on a 650Z.  It's probably only due to the fact that that is about the point I run out of tread.  They are wearing well, they  have a little over 5000 miles on them and no significant signs of wear yet.
