up date on the 1100.................need to change out the plug wires..........found out that they were causing the RF
signal that was messing up the dyno. We where looking to hard into the charging system and other components
that might be or could be going bad. Although the Stator had lost a phase, we changed that out but still too much interferences
So next week we will get the 1100 back on the  dyno and try again.
The GS 840 had new needles put in (The ends of 2 were bent) and one pilot jet was blocked and its ready also
I will get Brian to up the RPM to 10,500 or 11,000 to see if we can get 90 HP. that would be a very strong GS
also that turbo bike should be finished this weekend and its going to the dyno too
that should be fun
will keep all posted

10K is where we are now but I don't think that another 500 RPM,s is going to hit 90 but who knows...........
its going to be a fun back road burner regardless
will call soon Mike and Merry Christmas to all

up date
we have a blown head gasket on the black bike (Gs 750)
called cometic about a replacement and they can make a MLS gasket for it
the 1100 is waiting on the new plug wires and plugs (Resistor type)

Going to get the 750 back to my shop, get the head pulled off and check everything out.
going to try and replace the stock cylinder studs with APE Units and bolts

still waiting to finish the turbo bike and get it back to my shop to program the MSC box for backing the timing down when the boost kicks in

Patients, .....................whats that..............lol

Ok Jim, I spent the last 6 weeks of the year 2013 moving stuff and bikes to one location from three different locations so I'm behind on my schedule.
Hope to have the 1500cc engine coming along shortly, Mike has the head ready and Sam took care of the pistons and cylinders a while back... 200+ at the wheel?

Yep, not a problem for a purpose built racebike but with the setup Jim has he should be around 140-145HP.
What is the displacement limit and are they running on methanol?

Displacement limit is 1300cc and they run on pump gas as far as i know, period 5 and 6 were the only 2 race categories running on pump gas last time i checked, all other classes ran Methanol, that may have changed, i don't know...I just emailed a friend that builds classic race bikes, i'll let you know what he says ... ;) ....

Damn Mike, you told him to put all 4 plug wires on! ;D Only you can send 40 hp over the phone! 8) Jim, hang in there, you'll get it and then when you twist the throttle, it will all be worth it. ;D Bill

I've seen Mike sending 190HP by mail, so 40HP by phone isn't even a challenge  ;D

well all of the bikes are here in my shop so here it goes

The 840 GS has a blown head gasket (Sucking air threw the cam tunnel) and the top end is apart
waiting on the rectangular O ring that goes around the cam tunnel to come in, base gasket, head gasket,
heavy duty studs and nuts are in. (Thanks Mike R) for getting the studs and nuts

The Turbo bike is ready for the dyno also. Just programed the MSD Box to start the retard when boost kicks in.

need to also get the GS1100 down here to re time the cams and check everything one more time........... Not enough
room in the shop for all 3.

Brian at Livingood motorsports is busy getting the R6 motors ready for team Yamaha so he wont be doing anything
on my bikes until after Daytona as he will also have to tune the R6 motors

at least we are making some progress (Although a bit slow) but we are heading in the right direction..................

That's OK Jim, I don't have anything I can ride either  ;) ;D

Gotta sign over the title on the Harley today so the insurance company will pay me. Never had to do ANY work on it and didn't want to start now. I enjoy following all these other threads more but I'm looking forward to all your progress after seeing the engine pieces on your work bench.
