I know you guys just touched on the interchangeability of cb650 parts to a cb550 but will a 650 engine bolt directly in as a replacement to the cb550 engine?

It's my understanding that it is a direct bolt in.  I haven't done it but that's what I've read.

A guy from Sweden who used to be a regulare on the forum had a 550 with a 650 eninge, so it should fit. I'm not shure how the 650 generator will match with the 550 electrics thoug. And if you wan't to use the 650 electronic ignition system, you will need that, and the 650 coils with the lower resistance primary winding as well.
