anyone recognize this 1971 Kawasaki 500?

A friend just picked up this Kawi 500. I have not seen it other than these photos. Is it something special or a cafed out triple? ...Larry

It appears to be a track bike. Wish it were mine! Expensive?

Well that's a mighty big fairing for a cafe, but bar end mirrors, lights & a plate rule out a race bike.  Must be a hybrid :)

That  looks like a good score. Looks to be nicely done. Probably just a cafe-d triple but nicely done for sure. The dual disc setup is not cheap to buy. I'd have bought it for sure!

It looks like they built a nice quality race replica of a H500 racer.
I took this picture of the real thing not long ago. Your bike looks gorgeous.

Not my bike, wish it were.  A friend bought it( stole it?).  It does seem to be a nice h1R replica, if that is what the owner was attempting to do...Larry
