Earlier last month I started buying some bikes from a local guy I have known for years, He told me about them but I never saw them.I have bought 4 so far and am working on a few more.So this past week I finally picked them up,a 1970 CB750,2-1972 Suzuki GT750's and a 1967 Honda S90. Yesterday I went down to the shop to start cleaning off the road salt and gunk from hauling and them sitting and to start checking them out better.
The K0 is really low mileage at less than 6800 miles. Still had a 1976 license plate on the back.Looks like it may have the original front tire still if they came with Bridgestones. Has a 'newer' Dunlop on the back if I dare call it that, split up bad.Was red as the headlight and fork ears are that color and who knows why somebody painted it that lovely robin egg blue, maybe a tip over or something. All complete except the airbox so far but doubt it will turn up

. Engine turns nicely, have oiled up the cylinders. What surprised me is the oil tank was still holding oil right to the fill line on the stick and is super clean. The exhaust pipes are great, notice the heat shields have a more matte finish than later models, maybe a K0 thing. Has a wrinkle tank, shorty plactic chain guard ,nice ducktail seat, single cut front fender, black kill switch, recessed ignition with key, grab bar,4 cable carbs that are clean inside, and a real bonus were the original mirrors and tool kit that even still have the tappet feeler gauges. The build date is 1/70 and the frame number is 20293 and engine is 20200,both pretty close.
Looks like the bike may have been sprayed down with WD40 or something to protect it and so far the chrome is cleaning up quite well. Guess the plan is to do a light restore, get the tank etc repainted and drive it. Here's some pics. Eric
