1974 honda CL 360? Don't think so!
« on: March 03, 2013, 03:46:41 PM »
I received another text message today from a guy asking if I would be interested in a 1974 CL 360. Sure, you bet!

His text message went like this.

1974 CL 360 in great shape, 9K miles and starts right up. Got it out of a storage unit. Hasn't been touched in 15 years.

So, I get the pic. Hmmm..am I missing something?

Waiting on more pictures.

Well I see a plug wire and a ground(?) cable on the battery.  What is of interest is that front drum brake. Wouldn't that make it a late 60's/early 70's bike?

Be careful but don't ditch him yet.

Tank is wrong. Exhaust is not CL. Front drum is correct according to my ID guide I just bought.

Oh, I'm waiting on the $2000 price.  ;D

it's either a cb or a cj(little known version with front drum and no electric start)...actually what is there looks alright, just missing parts and dirty, wouldn't pay much for it, especially with no title
If it works good, it looks good...

CJs have a recessed filler lid and 2-1 'zorst. Must be a bitsa.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

Not a CJ, it has a starter.

Also CJ360 was 76-77 only.  ;)

I have a nice CL 360 that is in good shape.  It does not start right up because it needs carbs.  Other than that it really is in good shape.  I could sell it IF it was going to go to a good home.

Check PM. Check Other bike thread. Cancelled the 1977 CB 750 purchase as well as shopping for a S-90. Spent the kitty!
