Wiring momentary kill switch with dyna
« on: March 15, 2013, 12:25:20 pm »
Anyone know the correct way to wire a momentary kill switch (to ground) to dyna coils?

It would not be to ground! You need to use the nc terminal (normally closed) and common. It would need to be 2 pole so the blue and yellow are both opened when you press it

dirt bike types short the neg of the coil to ground,i wouldnt be doing that with a dyna though they seem a bit prone to killing themselves anyway?

You really need to break the power before the point circuit. This normally switched power from the key switch. Then it would be single pole

Haha! I just realized that the 2000 does allow for that feature. I feel slightly dumb ;) thanks for the help, gents!
