Found this site which has some pretty good information from different foam types to the anatomy of your keester interacting with the seat.
Aimed for newer bikes but it's great on how to contour your stock seat or if you're making a custom one.

What a great article. Answered a lot of my questions as to what materials to choose as well as shapes and such. I'm going to be using the moto to commute to and from work so gotta have a comfortable seat.
