Across this land is a taping of a show at my favorite tavern in Toronto. Stompin' Tom would be booked for weeks at a time I was a kid and only got to hear his records then.A Canadian Icon the likes of Woody Guthrie or insert your nations most infamous folk song writer. My favorite youtube is "Across This Land" a taping at the Horseshoe Tavern of one of his many shows.See you there Tom

Ah #$%* another one gone, I'm beginning to out live my cultural icons, it kind of feels sad, because there not to many new ones and there's not replacements the like of Stomping Tom.

For those who don't know his songs, or maybe those who want to remember, here are a few:
Stompin Tom Connors: The Hockey Song
Stompin' Tom Connors - Bud The Spud
Stompin Tom Connors - Sudbury Saturday Night

When our SOHC-4's were new and many, Tom was singin' up a storm at the Horseshoe.
