Front end danger?
« on: March 21, 2013, 08:23:38 PM »
Noticed at the end of last year that when I make a stop and compress the front forks I hear a faint click type noise. Also looked like I lost some fluid. Not sure how long it had been like that....Obviously I need to rebuild these very soon, but curios about what kind of danger this posses, if any? Will it just effect ride quality or should I be concerned it causing an accident? Thanks for the input!

You need to fix it. But In my youth I had little money and I have ridden the crap out of some clicking front ends. Test it out push and pull hard up and down. If sticks a little, dont ride it. If it clicks, fix it, but I would say (and this is without seeing it for my self) your good for around town as long as you keep a eye and ear on it.
Yep, i have issues with this sort of stuff.
