Nominate for Bike Of The Month - April 2013
« on: March 08, 2013, 06:36:39 AM »
It's Nominatin' Time!

March 2013 BOTM Voting Threadhttp://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=118213.0

Congratulations AsrtoWing for being the March 2013 BOTM winner!

I will let this run until about 3/15/13 and then start the voting thread.  Hopefully this will be enough time to get at least two nominations.

I really had a blast building this bike.  I am happy that others liked it enough to elect it as Bike of the Month.

My newest project is a Bultaco Astro themed GL1100 Gold Wing... "AstroWing"  I have built race cars and hot rods in the past but this Nelsonore was my first "ground up" bike build. I learned a lot of short cuts that will speed up my AstroWing build but it still will take me about a year. (My day job is usually 60+ hours a week)

Thanks to everyone that voted.

Hey Really, thanks for everything man but you REALLY should consider sticking around. Lots of people don't think about what they say and don't care what others think so the only real solution is to make the rules and ignore the idiots! It's your gig and your effort man so do it how you want. I can say it was really hard holding my tongue MANY times on GZ v1.0. As long as it doesn't get personal.......

Well, you kind of know where I'm going from here...  ;D ;D

I visit this forum just every now and then since I sold my 74 550.  Mostly come over because of the high activity here, the projects are good and I always like to see the bikes of the month results.  If memory serves me this thread goes back 8-10 years and I have been through every pic so it was disappointing to see what has gone on this month.

So I am going to let Really sort things out a bit, let the dumb ass comments slide by the wayside and drift into history, and ask that people start nominating some bikes for the month of April.  Please let the Germans and the Japanese drift over into another thread where their actions can be debated ad nauseam.

I'll even start.  Not sure if this bike has been a past nominee, or even if it won, but I like it.  Good Lord that bike is nice.

Hello all,

I've been away for awhile. I sure hope someone keeps the Bike of the Month contest going. I was really looking forward to following it. I understand how much work it is and how difficult it is to convince folks to nominate bikes then vote. I know I don't have time, just hope someone does. It will be appreciated by many!

I'll keep checking,

Gary.. Have lots of bikes, need one more.

I'd like to nominate Bill's new drag bike IF HE ISN'T PLAYING WITH IT AND IT'S RUNNING  ;D Perhaps for the next month if so since we will be doing 2 months. Not sure if Sam is keeping stuff here or not?

Whaddaya say Bill?
