Acewell 2853 speedo
« on: September 25, 2012, 10:03:46 PM »
I have a question for anyone who has one of these installed. What is the circumference number you are using for it. It seems as if the instructions are way off. I have a 19" front wheel with a 100/90 tire. For a 19" wheel it says to set the circumference to 1516. At that number its way off.

Using my iPhone speedo app I've gotten it a lot closer to what I think it should be. I have it currently set at 0626.

My question is what circumference are you guys running on this unit.

Little copy and past from our email... Lol ;

I'm running same size front tire. I have found the 25" code #1955 to be the closest. However. I have not done a follow car test yet. But as it feels while riding, it seams close. Further testing is required. Lol

I just purchased one as well from dime city cycles The settings said 1500-1600 (thats way off!
Also i am using the ace well digital speedometer converter cable.  Herm told me the setting was aroud 600 whitch is very close. Did you ever finalize the best number ?  Is 626 the most acurate ? and did you set the RPM # 1.0 -2.0- 3.0 -0.5  im guessing the 2.0 would be the answer

Thanks Ryan

0626 is about as close as I could get it. I used a iPhone speedo app to check it.

Also it depends on the tire and rim size you are using. It's going to vary slightly depending on that.
