Hi Perf Head Nuts
« on: March 10, 2013, 11:23:58 AM »
Even though we we the leading manufacturer of hi tensile stud kits for motorcycles, I have never felt that the SOHC 750 heeded a better head nut.

However, we were selected to provide the stud kits for the new BMW S1000RR. This engine has 8 mm studs like the Honda.  We had to also make head nuts for it, simular to the ones we do for our stud kits in Busas, GSXR1000s, etc, only in 8 mm.

Here is a link to the BMW parts that shows the nuts.  http://www.aperaceparts.com/bmw.html

I sourced heavy duty nuts that originate in Germany a number of years ago. Thick flange, 13mm head etc. I had to cut them down to clear the cam towers. The cost got high on them so I basically was selling them for cost with the machining. They work great but really aren't worth me doing. If you can get around the height issue you certainly have my blessings Jay and I will happily buy them from you. ;)

Am using HD nuts in my builds for years, with no issue 'bout height. Will shoot some pic's and give measurements, when I get home.

Has anyone used these on a 750 yet? I need to order some new head nuts and was wondering if they cleared the towers.

Hey G,

Shipping is an issue. Working on it now. If I am able to ship as letterpost, should be Ok, it'll be 25.00 USD for the HD nuts (16 pcs) and 7.00 USD for shipping, so 32.00USD in total.
If need to ship as a package (up to 2 kgs) shipping wil be 23.50 USD !!!!! Pure theft!! so that would be 48.50 USD in total.

Let me know, kind regards V.
