Topic: Z1Parts -- Repro K1 Shocks. Any info?

I've been looking to pick up the some NOS shocks for my K1, but they are not inexpensive (on eBay they are roughly in the $350 range).  I found these listed on the Z1 parts site.  Has anybody used them and can you let me know what the quality is like:  http://www.z1parts.net/product/honda-cb750-k-ko-k1-rear-shocks-1969-1971.

Your probably just looking for some better shocks for a better ride but if you were doing a very anal concourse type of resto you would want K1 shocks that had the black inner body and top mount like the stockers.

Don't buy NOS parts from Ebay.  Go to the same source the Ebay sellers get all those parts from ---- HONDA!
You can get the K1 shocks for $140.40 each or $280.80 a pair from here:

There are an amazing amount of parts still available for CB750K's from Honda.

I have bought lots of NOS parts from South Sound Honda (including the K1 Shocks) and got some of the best
prices and excellent service.  The shipping is usually less than the Ebay guys also.

As far as the repro shocks you are looking at,  I considered them also and posted the same question here, but
got no response, so apparently they are not a big seller.  IMO you are better off paying a little more for the originals
if you are after the stock look.

Thanks for the link.  To be honest,I thought I had already looked for the shocks on Western and South Sound Honda and not found them (which is why I was looking on eBay), but I must have missed them because both have them listed now.  I do prefer original parts when I can get them, but some of the parts I need I cannot find (i.e. original exhaust), so I go to eBay or do a repro if I have to.  Thanks for pointing out that these parts are still available.

If you get the shocks from South Sound Honda expect about 2 weeks to get them.  They are a special order and take longer to
get, but the wait is worth the savings IMO.
