i'm dumb at math, but i think it's 1

this is also why often times i lost money when i sell stuff to members.  either members or fedex benefited from my sale :( :)  :-[

I say 9, my wife says 1, the google calculator says 9 (hey it's the internet so google has to right eh? :) ) however a google discussion group is in a fierce debate about the answer being 1 or 9 as well.

Your making it to hard guys. 6/2 is just as it is. 6/2=3, it's not the inverse.
Trust me... I spent way to much money on a ME degree.

For you 9 guys what you are seeing as your first function of 6/2 is not correct. This is basically 2 functions: first function = 6 divided by the second function = 2 times 3 period. In order for the answer to be 9 it should be written (6/2) X (2+1). All about the parentheses.
