Whoa, nice trucks! Can you post a couple pictures of them? I would love to restore an old Chevy pickup someday.
I second that! And good work on the bike so far!

Thanks guys, yeah after years of working in parking lots and tiny ass garages it is very nice to have this space.

I have an open shop policy, anyone that wants to come hang out and use the shop is more than welcome, only payment required is a six pack.

As far as the trucks I've had then forever, the green one I bought when I was 15 and restored it for a few years before moving onward.

Here's some of the trucks and my old 350

Green one is a 69 gmc 1500 custom with a straight six and a three on the tree.
Blue one is a 70 Chevy c10 bare bones with a 350 and an auto.
And the bike is my last build before the 400, 69 cb350 with cl pipes, clubmans, rearsets, yada yada cafe yada yada

I think you have us all sold on the powdercoat machine! Would need a full sized oven for engine parts though.  Nice job great thread!

Yeah I'm overly enthusiastic about my powder! I am just completely fed up with gas and paint mixing. I might even powder coat my tank, we shall see.
Yeah I used my home oven that I never use for my cases. But before I do any more bigger parts ill pick up a crappy ol oven off CL

Took the truck out last night with a friend who had never driven three on the tree.
He knocked the trans out of alignment (easy to do on these things) and right as i got it fixed at 130am on the side of the road with my cell phone for a light, it died. Had to bump start it in reverse.
I love my trucks 8)

So the bike is rideable! mostly...
I have a horrendous leak from the shifter shaft seal. That sucks but its an easy enough fix I suppose.

Also i had completely forgotten about a stripped out tappet cover! What am I going to do here?
Anyone have any ideas what the thread size is so that I can get a tap? Or should I just go ahead and get a replacement rocker box? (Anyone have one they want to spare?)

And.....I love it.
I'm already contemplating starting to buy up the parts to do a 466 kit (another set of jugs and the kit, maybe a cam) so that I can do that at my leisure and then swap it out when I'm ready.

Gotta order one of each now and hurry up and wait.

Got my stainless lines from Slingshot cycles.
WOW what a difference. MUCH improved braking.

After about 30 test miles I seem to be having some car issues...

Can some of you gurus help me out?
Bike has little power at low RPMS (i think this is normal for this bike)
about 3500 it has a slight dead spot
at 4000 it kicks in really nicely and screams up to 6k just like it should
at 6k it starts to surge, like some of the cylinders are cutting out it will surge up to about 8K and not much higher.

So my thoughts are:
The carbs have not been synched on a manometer, ill need to make one. But they were bench synced well.
Im running a kerker exhaust and stock airbox. (the inner 2 carbs are only seated "ok" in the plenum, not sure how big of a deal this is) So i think it may be a lean condition at WOT.
I am running 75 mains and 40 pilots at the moment.

Basically it screams up to 6k then stutters and surges.
