Ill have a look tomorrow I cant remember off the top of my head

So after 30 miles or so the oil pressure light has started staying on.
When i start the bike it goes off like it should, and it will stay off while idling. Once I hit the road about 2 minutes into riding the light comes on and stays on until I turn the bike off and start it again...

What are the thoughts here?
Faulty pressure sensor?
Low oil pressure? (no leaks)
Etc?

I wouldn't put any more mileage on the bike til you diagnose the issue. I'd hate for you to find out the hard way that that light was working correctly.

Most likely is the switch, but agree with Powder, you need to confirm.

Confirmed oil pressure is just fine if not a little high

ANd took her on a shake down run!
nearly 100 miles on her now and she's running like a top.

I got incredibly angry and hostile with the stock air plenum, eventually throwing it across the shop and putting on pods. It runs like a dream with the cheap emgo pods that I didn't want to use. Guess ill get some K&N's and she'll really be running well.

Next up hopefully this week is get the seat done so I dont end up with more bruises on my ass. 100 miles on a metal seat pan is a painful experience.

Seats at the upholsterer, hopefully get it back on monday.

Tail lights/brake lights are all wired up using 2 SPDT relays. Blinkers only work when the brake lights are on however, so I may have to figure that out, although I dont see the need to use them when im not on the brakes anyway?
Any ideas here?
The brake lights are connected to the normally closed part of the relay so when i hit the brakes the lights come on, then the coil is connected to the blinker circuit, to it disconnects the NC and goes to the NO position, effectively cutting out the brake light and blinking like a blinker.

Just realized maybe I can do a similar wiring setup with the running lights to have blinkers all the time!
Maybe Ill go play with that now.....

Also, does anyone have a picture of a bikini or 1/4 fairing or flyscreen on a 400f?
I cant find any, but I think my bike is asking me for one.

So heres my wiring setup for the running/brake/blinkers:
The Top Led's are running lights (they are actually in the same housing on the bike)

The flasher basically causes the relay to switch from the NC position to the NO position, causing the brake light on that side to cut out at 1hz. (effectively acting as a blinker)

SO my question is this:
Does anyone see a way to make the running lights blink with the flasher as well? At present the blinkers only work when i'm on the brakes which isnt a huge issue, but it would be nice to have them working all the time.

FInally got my seat back!
He did a good job even if he's kind of an #$%*.

It came out pretty much exactly how I wanted. I would have liked a little lower profile I think but hey it's more comfy for my ass this way. I'm very please with the look.

The side covers will probably get a quick rattle can job black for this season and then she will be done until winter!

I'm really digging the stock mod thing I did on this one. It's basically stock with a few cosmetic and performance mods.
I like to think of it as stock 2.0 or improved stock haha

So I'm having a little jetting issue:
When going quickly to WOT the bike stumbles badly.
Here's a video with no load
Just noticed It does it at idle with no load too.
Basically wot = dead bike:

I know the 400f has no accelerator pump so it's gonna lean stumble a bit but this seems excessive. It also gets surgy and #$%*ty overall at high rpm.

I have a kerker exhaust, and pod filters.
Running an 80 main, thinking of going to. 85-90? Thoughts?

40 pilot. But it idles well, had some lean decel popping, but I richened up the idle screws but I haven't been able to ride I yet. Just from playing in the shop it seems better.

So what are you guys thoughts?

The way your diagram shows, your blinker circuit doesn't get power unless your brake is applied. You need 12v going into the blinkers independently of the brake circuit.

Since these carbs don't have an accelerator pump they rely on being over-rich on the pilot circuit to be able to sustain a quick rev. Sounds like you need to possibly go to the next step up on your idle.

Changing your main jet won't affect how you are able to "blip" the throttle from idle or even from mid range.

I did what 1000 people told me not to and bought a micro drill set and drilled an oil pair of jets out to .889mm or 88.9 (jet size)

Id say I was running incredibly lean up top, so much so that it was only firing every other rev or only running on a few cylinders. Because with the bigger mains in the thing scoots!

Everyone said i needed 80's but it turns out that a 90 is more in the ball park.
Now when my K&N's get here I can start doing plug chops to get it perfect.
Really psyched.

The roads are very wet, when I pulled out of my driveway I gunned it like normal and about lost it when I got wheelspin when I hit 7K in first haha.
