SOHC front suspension Geometry CB550
« on: January 07, 2012, 09:54:16 am »
I'm trying to track down all of the front suspension numbers for a 77' cb550. Anyone have them? Maybe we could start making an index for all the SOHC bikes out there. It would make doing fork swap calculations a lot easier. What I need for my cb550 are fork length, trail, triple tree rake, overall rake, triple tree clamp offset, also tire diameters are nice but too specific to the bike/tire.

Thanks all

YES! Put this in the FAQ and you can get rid of a bunch of posts (mine included) about front end and fork swaps.  I'll measure all the stuff on my 400F when I figure out what front end to put on!

I could add a little CB650 info to a front end spreadsheet.  I have my standard CB650 fairly apart at the moment and could take measurements.

I know FunJimmy did a swap and has links to front end geometry tutorials.  DOn't know if the specifics will help but this certainly belongs in any front end swap FAQ thread.

You're very close Brady, that 550 offset is actually 45mm.
