My first bike
« on: July 21, 2006, 01:05:25 PM »
Here is my first bike, it's a '73 CB750 bought in Edmonton for $800 and turned into a cafe... let me know your thoughts.

-The tail is made from a sportbike front fender
-Signals from ebay
-The seat is a piece of plywood made to fit the original brackets

Many thanks to StevieMac and all his help.

I knew who's bike this was as soon as I saw your handle.   ;)  (There's no one eyed smiley....)

I love the tail section.  You need to post a pic that shows it in better detail.
Using a fender was a killer idea.

Welcome to the board :)
Good looking bike!
Tail is great, well balanced to the rest of the bike.
What sportsbike had a front fender that big, though?

Cheers
Daniel

I think it started out as a ZX11 front fender.  I don't think cyclops knows for sure but he did extend the sides.

Not sure, I was going off what they guy at TJ's told me, I found the fender in a bin of junky fenders.

I did extend the sides and the length, the original fender came in for the forks and after cutting it looked too short.

The tail light is an "atlas copy" from the  guy at TJ's $60.00

           cyclops,
Tough looking ride that you've created. Like that seat and rear fender treatment also.
Seems like we just keep on getting more sharp looking bikes with a different but, good looking
features to give it an individualized look. Keep up the good work. Later on, Bill
