Wow!!!!   I don't know if anyone on this site has seen this yet, but it "appears" as though Honda is releasing the CB1100 in the USA.

Although the price is TBD, it definately has that RETRO look going for it.

Yeh, I saw that to, on the same website. 
The CB500, CB500X and one more (can't think about the model designation). 
But they all three are in th $6K price range.  It looks as though Honda is planning quite a showing in 2013 in the USA.  I just hope these models take off and don't fail as others have in the past 5 years or so.

Well, it is March and Honda has not released the prices for the CB500X yet...
Given the price of the NC700X at $7k-8900 it should be competitive. Looks like from browsing the accessories it is better engineered for accessories to turn it into a sport adventurer touring machine.
