Missing top rubber gasket on K0 carbs? CB750
« on: March 16, 2013, 09:47:06 AM »
I did a little looking around on here for this issue, and it seems quite a few people also noticed their K0 carbs do not have the rubber gasket between the body, and the screw top. I was just ready to reassemble and noticed they weren't there, but I'm pretty sure my K1 carbs had them installed. Any thoughts? I think I'll leave them be, for a second I thought maybe I lost them, but no I don't think so. (these are the set with 4 cables) Thanks, John.

My KO carbs came with no gaskets there either. Ran it for a year or so before I noticed they were missing on the parts diagram. I had ordered some carb parts for the bike and found gaskets in there and put them in. Did not notice a difference in running so not sure how necessary that are.

Same here, the K0 came to me without gaskets and I put them in from rebuild kits when I got it on the road.

Can't imagine it made a difference.

I wonder if Honda put those gaskets on there to keep rain and dirt out? I suppose it might be slightly possible for some stuff to get in there from the top plate area. I never ride mine in the rain so makes no difference.
