Lots of choppers have no front brake so I guess this is an improvement.  Ridiculously dangerous, but then again, so is riding without a helmet and that's routinely done.

Hmm... if one actually tried to USE that front brake, wouldn't the forces involved just rip the caliper right off the forks?

Yep, traditionally it was common to chop the front brake.  I think the original Easy Rider bike (Captain America) is rear only, actually.

I have to assume that this one is only for looks - like the dentist's mirrors guys would use, it's probably not about function.
One day, I will put up a signature.

Yup, Wyatt's bike was rear brake only.

But of course :)  That said, one could also attach a beenie propellor to the top of one's helmet, only for looks.  That wouldn't be my styling choice however  ;)

I'm thinking that in some places, a front brake is required, and this is the only way to satisfy that requirement technicality...kinda like wearing a WWII helmet while riding where there are helmet laws.
Too bad he has such small feet  ;D

Obviously it wouldn't do anything to actually stop the bike, but it might be good for holding the bike in place when at a standstill on a slight incline.

I wish I could ask the guy why he put it on there, it's probably the answer Steve F gave.

when a mans feet are that small they're called "foots"
