This didn't take long. Not long at all.
If you remember in an earlier post I said the cable was about 5 mm short. First cable was 37 3/8 inches. Second cable was 37 7/16 long. Neither fit.
I ordered another cable out of Canada from siriusconincnosparts on flea bay. Even with shipping it was a few dollars cheaper than my East Coast supplier. Length was 37 1/2 inches.
Lets begin. The assorted parts.
Throttle end.

Carburetor end.

Installed the cable into the carburetor and immediately looked at the throttle end.

Well look at that. Around 5 mm where as the other two (2) cables were flush against the outher sheath.
In this picture you can see where I slipped on the cable stop and the inner cable slide.
Still plenty of room huh? This was the issue.
In order to get these parts installed you had to pull the cable which then moved the slide at the carburetor.

This picture shows the cable adjuster turned to take out the slack.

I found some new OEM throttle end parts so I'll wait and replace them. I can install the carburetor and air cleaner tube in the meantime. After all, due to crap parts I'm getting good at this. Third time is a charm. Three (3) throttle cables later.

Still not happy about this. How many others are beating their heads against the wall? Crappy azz parts.
Still going to look for handle bars but the ones I have should work.
