Alright, so after a good two weeks og systematiclly checking everything I could think of to check, and getting help from others (specifically with the check list - Thanks to WieredGeorge from the KZRider webs site) I almost have this issue figured out.
As it turns out, there was a part missing from the inside of one of the carbs that I had never noticed. The air passage for the idle cuircut is cut into the carbs from the inside of the float bowl up to the airscrew. This hole is then blocked off by a little brass ball. The ball was missing from the #4 carb. I just didn't notice it before. Basically, when I cleaned out the carbs all those times, I would do one carb at a time so as not to confuse parts (I know they're all the same, but still). Finally I had the whole bank apart at the same time and noticed the discrepancey. SO, with the whole tapped and blocked off with a set screw, a simple adjustment of the air screw and a resynching of the carbs ans I was back in business... almost.
Cylnder #1 still is not firing at idle. I'm sure it just a matter of fine tuning the carbs to get it to pop off, but that cylnder does have about 15psi lower compresion than the other three. I'm not sure if that's an issue or not. We'll see. I'll let you all know how it comes out.
