Just saw Carpys new bike, look familiar? I don't belive it right down to the color and design of the seat!  Its hard to be original these days.

Yesterday, managed to do the finishing work on the bottom pan and the mount for the solenoid and attached them to the bottom.  Today I finished making the Positive battery cable and the primary to the PDM60.  Worked out some of the connection placements and rewired longer the wire harness from the engine to reach the top of the bottom pan.  Cut the wires to different lengths so as not ot have the solder joints bulk up the cable group.  That was a bear, shrink wrapped the joints and installed a silver sleeve that came in from Vintage Connections today. I'll get some pictures of that tomorrow..  Sorry about the pictures did in a rush #1 is looking up and under the "MotherBoard", #2 the space between the two wire holders is where the connections will be made from the PD60 and the wire harness.

The wiring looks pretty tidy.  That's a heck of a lithium ion battery you got there.  You'll have no shortage of cranking power.

Yes it would appear so, but really its 4.5" square and 3.5" tall!  Must be the angle.  Finally broke down and bought a cover for the bike. Just me and the ball monster waiting for the bell and run like hell, to the spit

Some of the wiring I'm able to dispense with
Naked harness, preparing for lock stitch wrap, we don't need no stinking plastic wire wraps!
Its been busy, Fall has fallen over Northern California, We too need to winterize. Pool, yard, boat, boat tent and actually have some work again.

I was able to spend some time on the bike today. I was unhappy with the first Lock Stitch job so I redid the lock stitch wrap then used the original silver wrap to finish up.  Added some silver protective sheaths and mounted the Harness. Had to do some exchanging of wires to different bundles. Lengthen the oil pressure wire and the green/yellow stop light wire to the tail light.  Fitted this and fitted that.

Mounted the wire loom :D

So next I will begin making connections, the seat side weather proof  plug is completed so have to do the bike side.  I have an 8 pin weather proof bosch plug to connect the motor and reg/rectifier together, then the fused circuits, Yellow red starter wire, bunch of green grounds and black 12v's to hook up.  Next would be the coil/points hook up. Ign plug is complete and mounted.  Then the task of all the GripAce switch wires, the Kriss Modulator and misc, connections within the headlight bucket, hope there's enough room.  Hope your all have a good all hollows eve!  :P

I still hope too Bill, but life just keeps pulling me other places than where I'd like to be, in the garage gettenR done.  Im so close I can taste it.  Today it was a plumbing failure that I just finished up. Tomorrow I have to help a buddy with my truck to move something he bought back to his home, and then there's an appraisal I have some things to tidy up on, Yesterday it was the rain coming so had to get the boat under wraps, outdoor furnature covered up, misc. stored away, mess with the pool cleaner and other  "stuff".  But as I was up a 6 I was able to get it all done by 11 so was able to work on the bike, exercise the dogs, run to a couple of stores, etc.  I like to call it the never ending story.  But hey that's just life!

Yesterday spent working on wiring still, Soldering everything.  My black and tan Cavalier is a bit of a huntress and much time searching out a mouse behind my shelves, kept her busy.  At one point I decided to pull my old Air Force Tool Box from 1968 out from under the water heater so she could get better access.  That box has been there since we moved in 2006.  It was heavy, I knew I had put a bunch of old tools I likely would not use again in there but could not remember what exactly it was.  I was wildly surprised to find most of my old Factory Honda tools from the 70's in there.  They had come in their own metal box, yellow about 6" high and about 1.5 ' square. but I ditched it years ago as it had started a rusting issue. So I hauled them all out and found a place in the tool section for most of them.

So still wiring, pictures don't appear to show any progress but there has been a lot, making sure what fits where is a lesson in patience.  The back tray is coming together along with a stealth system that makes the bike disappear when I park it.  Did some more today but haven't any photos of the 14th yet.

Thanks Bill, thanks Don.  Seem's like two steps forward, one step back.  But starting to see daylight at the end of the tunnel.  Talked with the fellow at Power Arc Ignitions today, quite a character but very knowledgeable on his systems and electrical over all.  Learned soldering connectors not always a good thing as well as relays.
