Honda SL100 electrical questions
« on: March 19, 2013, 09:26:11 PM »
I was given a 1971 sl100 and I'm in the process of rebuilding/customizing it and I have some electrical questions. I have removed the airbox/battery holder for a cleaner look however there is still that pesky battery. Can I use a sealed lead acid battery instead? More mounting options. And if so what would be the minimum AH I could use?
And for my rectifier. I have a crf450x that I have upgraded with a new HO stator and rectifier. Could I use the stock rectifier from the crf?
The SL's rectifier seems to be working but I want something more reliable. I've seen the radio shack mod but I have this crf one laying around.
Thanks all.
Btw once I get this bike done ill post a build thread with pics.
Here is a teaser of the tank I built. I'm going for a steampunk theme.
