Adapting single outlet Petcock on Left
« on: March 20, 2013, 09:42:45 am »
Getting a very nice Antares Red 76' tank for my 71', or 74', not sure which yet...
But the Petcock is on the Left, and is a single outlet (instead of two on the Right). Anyone ever successfully convert over to this? Would love the details!

Just put a t-line splitter in the single exit hose like the factory does ;)   Here is one for instance from VintageCB750 for 3 bucks . Hdware stores probably have them,I would get one made from brass as I hate plastic.   http://www.vintagecb750.com/products/6/fuel-system/67/fuel-petcocks-gas-tank-parts

I got a left side petcock tank on purpose. Can't belive Honda ever put it on the right! Must have wanted to stay away from the choke, but what a PIA to turn to reserve, letting go of throttle.

AS to the single, my carbs only have single so stright shot. VM29s.

But before, I had a 2 tit valve and the 1 inlet 29s I just used a T as mentioned.
