The next project?
« on: March 21, 2013, 09:10:39 PM »
So I found this bike and the guy is only "asking" $500 for it.  Says that it has been sitting for a while.  Says the motor turns over well, so I am guessing that it doesn't run but seems to just turn over without firing.  I have my whole points assembly that I took off of my other bike that I put a Dyna S electronic ignition on plus the coils that I took off of it.  So a free replacement there and something to help diag.  It seems to be all there for the most part except for a side body panel which doesn't bother me.  The tank has a little rust on the outside which doesn't bother me either since I have an uncle who can paint it for me, I just hope the inside isn't too bad.  But the chrome and motor appear to be in decent shape.  It has the 4 - 4 exhaust on it and if I don't like that I have the Mac 4-1 exhaust that I took off my bike.  If I can get it for around $350 I figure I can't go wrong.  So what do you guys think.

Looks like you'll need to use the fred flinstone method of stopping. Looks like a decent buy at $500 since it has a title.

That question shouldn't exist at $500, buy it , fix it or sell the parts to other members.
