Reading through this thread is like visiting a forum in another language; the pictures are cool, but I have no idea what anyone is talking about. LOL

I will def start taking more pics if that's the case. Right now I am using the lathe more than the mill....getting well acquainted as it were. I have used a lathe for 10 years....but it had digital readout and other bells and whistles. Using this bare bones old girl is taking some practice . Its like learning which stair is the squeaky one when sneaking out at night. I am learning new approaches.....

Are your lugs bolted in ?
They appear to be pressed in. While the holder *might* be able to be modified to fit the shell mill, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort??

Please support us, the  honeless  people  of this online community...  PM any information on what you have.

Oh yeah, there are a couple lathes available, one is an atlas table top lathe, and other is a South Bend which would be a good one for somebody, and a third that is a huge W.S. turret lathe, pics are posted of all of them on the shop thread.

Might be able to deliver the SB or the table top Atlas to Barber if anyone is interested.

We never set up the Atlas but it should be a good unit. I know that there are a couple people who have an interest in it and they maybe have too much in it to sell it real cheap, not even sure what we'd need to get. The WB pictured I think  asking is $1200, might come down just a little depending on how the deal goes, but it would be at least a pickup truck to get it anywhere.

I have Logan 210 since 2006 or so and if I ever upgrade I will go with new(er) machine.  It is not just about how tight it is, but for the old American Iron typically it is  complicated to cut metric threads.

These have been superceded with a morei sakae that is perfect for a MC shop.  It has one gear that needs replaced, but you can work around the ranges with the others.

For your "sand cast" ? That eBay message was a hoot. The micrometers are the "C" looking outside style. Brown and Sharpe .
