Still got some tweaking to do of course, still have to get the rear brakes, etc.up to par,but couldn't be happier with how it ran and went down the road yesterday. It even started up on the 2nd hit of the switch after sitting all this time. And after warming up it idles nice and smooth. I guess my carb rebuild was a sucess. Happy, happy, happy.

Thassa nice pair of 'Wang's men! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thank you for the kudos. I bought the bike as kind of a shed find, had 4,440 miles for $1500. Beside tank relining, rebuild on calipers, new timing belts, new tires,  it was nice. Paint was nice, I got a few pieces rechromed. It is a 77'. Easiest handling bike of that size.

Congratulations on the successful carb refresh. I never did get mine fully sorted, although it ran well overall and performed very well during last year's rally. That engne really is smooth in a way that very very few other 4 cyl bikes are.

This is the rear m/c off my 77 Wang. Where are the 2 tiny return holes in the bottom that I've seen all other Honda master cylinders.

In the deep recess is where you will find the return holes. At least one is near corner on low side when mounted

Thinking of selling our '83 GL1100. My wife has a bad knee and the riding position doesn't suit her. We got this thing to tour on, so it's no good to me if she doesn't like riding on it. Bummer.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

or, I stink, therefore I reek?

Or, if a man farts in the forest, and there's no-one around to hear, will anyone smell it? ;D

Took the Goldwing to work today. I go in at noon this whole week and get off at 9. Got home about 30 min ago. Im still amazed at this naked 77 Wing. I like my 750's and they go down the road good but this GW is in a league all its own. Since getting it on the hwy last week and even though Ive put less than 200 miles on it so far the smoothness and the quietness of this bike is spoiling me big time ;D
