eBay questions
« on: March 24, 2013, 01:55:37 PM »
Is it possible to relist an item for sale I had on ebay last year.  It didn't meet reserve and I can't find it anymore under myEbay to relist it.  Also, I would like to view my buy history from years back so I can buy some of the same items again.  Is that possible?  Last question.  How does sniper bidding work?

To relist I believe you will have to create another listing, unless you used Turbo Lister.
You can only view items from your feedback score, but only from the last 3 months, beyond that you can see who you have bought from and look at there current sale items.
Sniping is bidding in the last few seconds to try to stop anyone from out bidding you, but be aware your highest bid can still be below any automatic bid in place, there is also software/website to create a sniping bid for you.

Ok. So an automatic bid will always win over a sniper bid if the automatic bid is higher?  Will an automatic bid, bid in increments for you so that let's say you put $1000 as an automatic bid it will stop bidding if $750 is enough to win?

It depends on the person you are bidding against, but sniping can and does work.

Yeah but if there is a higher automatic bid then you will never win with a sniper bid.

Sniper programs are devised to bid as late as physically possible, i have been the winning bidder in the last second of an auction and still lost because the guy that beat me used a program that can bid faster than you can, reserve bids or not, thats the main reason they use the sniper programs, program is faster than human or reserve bidding, simple as that....  I hope i explained that well ?

But you'll never know if there is a higher automatic bid until you place a bid of your own whether it's a last second snipe or an early bid.

It is like poker and a bluff, you never know if your hand is going to win until you call and lay them down.
The bidding goes up until opposition (other bids) to your high bid stops or you are outbid.
