Bullet connectors
« on: June 20, 2013, 10:24:30 AM »
So I see a lot of people saying bullet connectors are not available. That is incorrect. As a small engine mechanic I use them all the time. They are readily available from any small engine shop who deals with Rotary or Stens aftermarket parts. Hope this helps someone. Spade clips take to much room in some cases. These bullet connectors are the closest to oem you will find.

"www.vintageconnection.com is well known."

Mabey so but I'm just offering information. Not everyone wants to order online or wait for shipping. They are inexpensive and as I said readily available in most cases. I believe Kimball Midwest supply also offers bullet connectors. Options are good right?

Even The big box stores carry bullet connectors. However, if you are looking for the stock 3.5mm bullets then you have to look a bit harder or just order online.

The cheap connectors from the box stores usually melt or weld together or just break. As far as size if I'm replacing one connector(male) the other (female) is getting replaced too. And I don't really care if it's 3.5 mil or 14 guage or whatever if it fits.

They don't ship to Canada and can't find these bullets locally. Any other options?

Awesome. Do standard electrical crimpers work or do I need the metric crimpers they sell?

They ship to Canada, I've got a couple of kits from them, as well as their great crimping tool.

Humm...that interesting.  That said I got my stuff about 2 years ago.  Guess I'll just have to have replacement stuff drop ship to a buddy in the USA. ;)

+10 When I get a new to me bike I like to clean or replace every one of them from headlight to taillight. Good peace of mind for that first long trip.

No problem. I've ordered quite a bit through them. Just a word of warning, some of their stuff is not the best quality, but they are great for the non-essentials.

Cheers
