Would you be coming back from the races Monday evening? How difficult is it to divert west to Albany or perhaps Brattleboro, Vt? Mapquest has the total trip back to Boston via Brattleboro at about 200 miles. For Apostrophe it would be about 160. Both reasonable one day rides.

I'd be heading back in the afternoon from the races, but your scenario from Brattleboro sounds very doable if Apostrophe is in.

I think I have a couple options on my end if it comes to "Shipping Up to Boston"...

The first being to meet Apostrophe somewhere on Saturday in the hopes of getting GZ into Albany and beyond.

This should be the goal for this weekend, IMHO. The other "active SOHC4 riders" Danny mentioned were not signed up for the relay.. By the end of the weekend, GZ should either be in Buffalo or Toronto.
In order for GZ to reach you by Friday, he will need to be shipped tomorrow, preferably by Priority Mail.

Let me know if it needs to be shipped.  I  work six to three tomorrow so I won't  be able to get to the PO until a bit after  three...Larry

If the consensus is to keep GZ on the move and into Toronto or Buffalo by the weekend, I think the safest bet is to ship him to those who are waiting in either of those two areas. I'd love to be a host for GZ but as the only MA guy, with only a day to move him along, it seems reasonable to forgo my area for those already lined up to ride elsewhere.

It seems as though Apostrophe is looking into the Monday (2nd) Brattleboro exchange at work this evening. With that off of the table we should find out what the most logical shipping location is.

Crush, if Larry mails you GZ, can you meet Ian halfway between Boston and Albany this Saturday? Ian, can you head towards Buffalo and meet Tripps halfway on Sunday?

I'm willing to do it. Greenfield, MA seems to be the midpoint and I know there are some nice roads leading to and from there. We will just have to see where Ian is at.

Yes, if there is to be ANY riding this weekend, he needs to be shipped tomorrow by Priority Mail. Probably too late to ship to Canada, at least without paying very high Priority rates. We need to nail this down TONIGHT, guys...

So this looks like no Saturday ride. Is it best to ship to Ian and let him ride to meet-up with Tripps Sunday to keep the schedule?

So each of us is looking at around a 2 hour ride to Greenfield. If we can shoot for 2-3PM, that'd be fine with me getting out there and getting back home.

OK, it's settled. Alex, PM your mailing address to MoMo. If you can, you might consider riding a little further than halfway, as Ian will have to pull a 12 hour shift after picking up GZ. (been there, Ian  ;)) Now we need to get a hand-off planned to Team 6.
Thanks guys! 8)

That's only 5 hours from me, I could do it Sunday if no one else can, I guess, but could apostrophe take it from me Sunday in Albany?
How about this Sunday? Can you meet apostrophe somewhere between Buffalo and Albany?
