Working on it Tripps.  Becken, Artsqu and maybe Dave can ride weekdays.  Can you?
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?

Man, this week is tough, I'm self employed, so I have latitude, but every day is scheduled next week. But I'm off Monday for the holiday. But I'm trying to work on my house, LOL.  Labor Day would be a chore, I don't get many days off, and the following weekend (Saturday) is my Triumph Noreast Rally. Lets see what happens, Tuesday and Wednesday are no chance, but maybe Thursday or Friday I could put someone off til the following week. Or next Sunday (8th) possible. (PS-Old School, I just noticed today, I still have your phone number in my phone from 2 years ago. Brooze, too.)

What about doing both legs Sunday? If I got an early start, I could be in Syracuse by 11:00 am, if someone was willing to meet me in Erie, PA, I could probably make it there by 4:00 or 5:00?

I could maybe do Thursday or Friday, too, if it would help to keep from having to mail him.

Hey Tripps,

ZillaTeam6 has a few riders that can do weekday runs.  I'm hoping someone can connect with you after you get the beasty picked up.  Mailing is worst case, but not out of the question.

Prolly unrealistic, but there is allways hope for GZ to stick a toe into Canada while he's waiting!!

Niagara Falls bridge is less than an hour from my house, always a possibility. I sent Apostrophe a message proposing the Dinosaur Barbeque in Syracuse for lunch, Sunday, if any members nearby are interested.

Hey guys I just got a message from Ian (Apostrophe). He can't make the meetup today due to work and I'm not sure of the schedule moving forward so it's looking like things are getting pushed back.

I'm on the bike now so I'll reply to any questions or further planning later on.

Cheers.

Damn, not looking good, guys, he hasn't responded on the Sunday meetup, I was wondering. For as many SOHCs I see on the road around here, I've always been surprised at the dearth of members in upstate NY. Most of my MC forums, there's folks that are neighbors, or semi-neighbors, at least, I've never noticed any members here from the entire  western half of the state. The first year, I had to go to Ohio, Ontario, and Michigan to participate.

:( :( :( OK, according to google maps, it's 454 miles and 6 hours, 47 minutes from Boston to Buffalo via I-90. This could be do-able in one day, if Crush and Tripps meet halfway. What do you two say? Want to be relay Heroes? 8)

Unfortunately I can't do either Sunday or Monday, so I know that that throws off the plan. I'm not opposed to taking a day during the week and riding some hours out in one direction but I don't know if Tripps has the ability to be a weekday warrior.

I'm keeping track of this thread pretty regularly so let's figure something out and keep moving. GZ really f@<#ing hated that box.

Alex, can you do a 450+ mile day on Tuesday? How about you, Tripps?

Greenfield works. I'm off Sunday-Tuesday.

Does it make sense to keep Ian involved as he has a day off Tuesday. 450 miles is a lot for me to cover and I will if it is absolutely needed bt I'd like to hear from him about his availability.

Tuesday and Wednesday are a no go, I am locked into a job. With sufficient notice, Thursday and Friday are possible. I'm self employed, but I have to schedule the week. I am committed to Monday and Tuesday already, I'd have to know by tomorrow to take Thursday or Friday off, I have to schedule stuff, you understand.

Absolutely keep Ian involved!!! Try to plan a meet-up with him on Tuesday. If you guys can do that, then plan for Tripps to meet Ian on Thursday or Friday?

I haven't heard from Ian since yesterday but have a PM into him about rescheduling. My option right now is to meet tomorrow or Tuesday in Brattleboro, VT or Greenfield, MA. I'd prefer tomorrow as it's a day that I don't have to take off of work, but I'll flex.

The halfway trip to Buffalo is does not appeal to me as a one-day solo GZ run during the week but again, if it has to happen then I'll do what I can.

I've come to terms with the possibility of having to ship GZ again. He hasn't and is pissed, as shown in the video taken below...

My week is booking up especially as it is the first week back for students at the university where I work, so I am soon to be in a similar situation to Tripps.

Crush,

Did you end up taking him to NH for the races?

Yes I did. Met up with Andy750, Anders and a few others from our local New England group. Andy is the resident photographer and posted a rider's log post either last night or this morning.

We got absolutely soaked with the wet weather, so my phone (with all the pictures) is shot and currently undergoing the bag-of-rice treatment. I'll put up my log soon.

All in all it was great to get the trip in and see the vintage race bikes. I'd never been to the NH Speedway nor a motorcycle race; the 175's really freaking scream.

If he was mailed to me I'd take him to Fri the 13th in Port Dover On. It is the biggest one day bike event in Canada if not the world!!! Over 100, 000 bikers show up from all over the world and it only happens on Fri 13th...so if this is to be event oriented, this would be a shame to miss...I'll ride him there on my '77 550 then wherever it needs to go after I'll take him there

Thanks for the offer Larry!!

What do ya think folks, mail to Ottawa then meet up with Tripps in Buffalo the weekend of the 13th?  Maybe even get Bruce to carry PimpZilla for a bit too.

Or would mailing to Albany, ride up to Watertown, meet Larry on his way to Port Dover??

Just spitting out ideas to get as many personal meetups and bike miles and as few box miles as possible!!
