Oh... right MoMo in Gap as well.  I don't see him on the map either.
Scott, I think some riders might not have posted on the sign-up thread.

Is mid-July the general time-frame we're expecting GZ to hit St. Louis?

I'm getting a little nervous, as I have vacation plans from 8/18-8/27.  So hopefully GZ comes through the Philly area a couple weeks before or a couple weeks after this, so I can take some more vacation days to do a longer ride with GZ.

AHRMA is having a vintage motorcycle festival in South Jeresy the first weekend of August, might be cool to bring GZ there:
http://www.njmp.com/6713-2.html
I'm planning to take a race course there, and maybe entering one of the races.  However, my bike will be raced prepped (no lights/signals).. so it will take me a day to convert the bike back and forth from race to legal road use.

HEY TEAM 5 - YOU BOYS WANNA RIDE OR WHAT??!! START PLANNING
« Reply #76 on: June 26, 2013, 10:20:14 PM »
I just posted this in Team 4 so I'm putting you on alert. You guys will need to start planning with Team 4 Kanasa/Nebraska riders!!

Hey Jerry:

Route and dates sound doable for me to join Pinhead.
What's the next leg?
Pinhead on to where?  And when?

Sweet! I'd have to leave the details up to you and Pinhead and any of the other KS guys. Up to you guys at that point   I'd expect us to hit western KS 7/18 or 7/19 PERHAPS then the CO guys would probably head home. You guys could probably cover the remainder of KS by the end of the week.

Looking like Team 5 needs to get in touch to make some plans with you guys

I see there is still a big gap between IN and VA. I'm in central KY and might be able to help. I'm not opposed to riding to IN, to WVA and back in one day. Sounds kinda fun. One catch, no SOHC in the garage. I do ride honda 4s but they're in a V shape. Let me know if I can help.

You might be the missing link! Welcome aboard! We have a guy near Roanoke I can easily meet with and take GZ to North VA.

Rocking M is the guy near Roanoke.

Come on out MagnaMan ON A SOHC4  ;) Anyone from Lexington is welcome. I bleed blue  ;D

I've been hoping to hear from our main KS-CO rider Pinhead. Last communication was that he is up to his waist in the wheat harvest through this week. And if any of you have been around this it can be an 18 hour+ a day job.

Main objective is to get GZ from west CO to east CO right now. That should be happening Monday.

Hey Team 5!

Whoever is riding in this relay, here's the last few posts from team 4:

<<<7/08   Proto heads towards Denver to meet OldBob

7/18-19  Front Range/Denver crew takes over and moves GZ into KS by way of McCook, NE. Grasscutter of Omaha and possibly Pinhead of KS heads eastward to Team 5. Time to step up Team 5!!

7/?? + a couple - NShahdadi of Team 5 proudly accepts GZ from ? of Team 4 perhaps near KC who then relays to MadScientist for an assault on St Louie>>>>

I'm doing the hand-off in McCook NE on 7-19.
Am willing to do a southern route home, via KS, I-70...etc... if there are any KS riders that want to join up.

I am relaying GZIII to NShahdadi, who is then relaying it to the MO crew.
Tentatively, if it works for NShahdadi, I'm game to meet in Topeka KS for the hand-off, sometime Sat 7-20 around noon(ish).
NShahdadi, then takes GZIII on to Jefferson City and the MO crew.  I'd take HWY 75 out of Topeka, straight north to Omaha.
Works perfect.

We could move GZIII a ton of miles in 24hrs.  From CO, to McCook NE to Topeka KS, to Jefferson City, MO.

That's traveling!

So...any KS riders up to riding???
Come on!  We're burning daylight!

Idea:  Grasscutter USPS to Magnaman and Magnaman rides to meet Rocking M.

I will pickup from Rocking M myself and arrange the route up to DC,MD,PA.

I am on the road guys - Albuquerque right now - bear with me while I try to sort it out.

Anybody has better ideas?

USPS or any other shipper is not needed.

The last part of my last post was regarding NShahdadi.
We are already scheduled to meet for the hand-off.

The only thing that is up in the air, is 'where'.
Either Kansas City MO, or Topeka, KS.

If I don't meet NShahdadi, the weekend of 7-19, 7-20, 7-21....then we will meet the following weekend in Kansas City.

I mentioned a possible southern route going down I-70, (after I pick-up GZIII on 7-19 in McCook NE), was to accommodate possible KS riders.
Come on!  We're burning daylight!

I've been trying to keep up but couldn't access the post notification I got about GZ's arrival in Neanderthal land of Colorado. So, I'd still like to keep up and take part, though, if having a "running" honda is the required can't give GZ a ride. BUt if it ain't required GZ can ride a classy Italian bike with me. ;)

Excellent question. I will be nabbing GZ from NShahdadi probably late July. Who's up for being the next leg? Anyone want to meet me in...say...Springfield IL or somewhere there abouts?

Thats the thing, we have good coverage from south of VA to NYC - but not much west of VA.

Robert, for me Ducatti is always better than USPS.

NShahdadi, then takes GZIII on to Jefferson City and the MO crew.

Just for the record, GZIII will be coming to Columbia, MO, where I'll eventually hand off to madScientist. Columbia is about 35 miles north of Jefferson City, along the I-70 corridor.  :D

Columbia MO is about 475 miles (one way) from Lexington. Surely there's someone between here and there.

Indeed there is. MadScientist is taking over GZIII from me in Columbia and bringing him to St. Louis.

Not sure what the plan is from there?

sounds like Zilla is moving along. I can meet somewhere in central WV. or somewhere in NE TN (say near Knoxville).

It doesn't matter to me as they are about the same distance from here. Does liz need to go through WVA or TN?

I have to admit, the ride is more fun coming back from WVA.

Actually both if possible, but you make your choice.  I can do WV from up here easily.

After last week's weather, I'm not sure. I'll have to spend some time re-reading the posts to see where the liz is.

I'm still hoping I don't have to go all the way to MO to get him.

just a thought... but maybe MadScientist could bring GZ further east than St. Louis... maybe that would help out some?

Whatever we do, I would like to get dates drafted so I can plan time-off accordingly.
