How far are you willing to ride this Sunday, Larry? Can you go as far as 75 miles one way?

Here is an option:

LOL!    I thought maybe Godzilla might have been a username of a member here on the forum.    I've got a decent motorcycle trailer, and have responded to many a call for help to tow broken motorcycles.

I am riding out to Newwark, NJ on Friday to demo the new Indian motorcycles.    I'm not a cruiser guy, but it was an excuse to ride with a long time friend who is interested in buying one.

Anyway, I won't be going through Gap, but if anyone could bring Godzilla up to anywhere along the I78 corridor in the morning, I could take it to Newwark, NJ, or anywhere along the way.

Or, they could bring it out toward Hershey, PA this evening or tomorrow evening, and I could take it form there too.

I'm on a pretty tight schedule , as I need to be out there by 1 PM for the demo, and then back no later than 5pm to pick up my kid from daycare, as my wife is working a long day that day.

I'll be riding one of the Moto Guzzis, as it is way more comfortable for a long day's riding than my CB400F -- so, I don't know if that disqualifies me or not.

Oh, and yet another option.   I'm riding out with a friend who lives in Kennet Sq.     So, if you could get it to Kennet Sq in the next two nights, he could bring it along.

He doesn't own any Honda SOHC4 bikes, or any Hondas for that matter, so, again, he might not "qualify".

He has a Moto Guzzi, Ducati, and a Harley 1200 Sportster.

I like your spirit, Jas.  Let's see what others are thinking.  I believe any motorcycle is better than the box of shame (USPS).

Thank you!

So now that I've been properly schooled in how this rally communication works, I'll try my hand at figuring out a possible Boston leg.

GZ is in Gap right now looking to move further over the weekend. It seems like the next major destination is Albany, NY as that is into Team 6. Is there a plan for getting the lizard to Albany or are we still having issues getting rider in between those distances?

I'll do my best to stay in the loop here.

I guess I'll be coming from Easton, PA. I'll ride down and grab it and drop in Albany on the way home.

Assuming it's going to Ottawa? Any further North Momo could come would help me, I dislike driving after dark due to deer, but there should be enough daylight. Here's what mapquest shows me.

Oh, shoot, that won't work, I didn't blow up the map the first time, I thought the route took me through Albany, I'll only be as far east as Syracuse, I won't be able to hit Albany on the way back. 650 mile day as it is, that's about the longest I've ever been able to do in a day, even on my Rocket Touring, I start to fall asleep on the bike. Well, I could meet apostrophe half way another day, or something.

If GZ can't make any progress this weekend, it's time for the box. :( The next question is where to send him? First choice would seem to be apostrophe. Ian, can you ride the weekend of 8-31?
EDIT: Crush, if GZ were mailed to you in Boston, could you ride towards Ian in Albany on 8-31?

Scott, I don't think I would be able to make it all the way to Albany if that is the absolute only other drop-off location. I know we have some members in Western Mass. I think at the moment the Boston crowd is pretty silent so I'd be making it as a solo trip.

I'm responding a few days late to you, but I have read the updates on both threads and it seems as though things are still up-in-the-air.

I think I have a couple options on my end if it comes to "Shipping Up to Boston"...

The first being to meet Apostrophe somewhere on Saturday in the hopes of getting GZ into Albany and beyond.

The second is to take GZ over the Labor Day weekend, run him up to the Granite State Championship races in Louden, NH. There will be a pretty good show of the SOHC4 guys (Andy750, Anders288, AzureDesign, Connito, etc.) so it might make for an unexpected, last-minute GZ stop. I could then work with Apostrophe over the next week to meet up for the handoff.

http://race-uscra.com/docs/events/2013/2013_GS_Program.pdf

At this point I am trying to be very conscious of the time of year that all those in the northern mid-west states will be getting GZ for a ride. Moving him fairly swiftly out of the northeast will be important.

Well, while I am not very enthusiastic about adding another week in the Northeast, I can't be too upset when the reason is that GZ gets to go someplace where there are a bunch of active SOHC4 club riders.

That said, before he gets diverted north there needs to be a firm plan to promptly get him moving towards Buffalo or Toronto and on to Ohio and then Michigan.
