Not new to Honda but new to this site
« on: March 22, 2013, 02:22:41 PM »
Howdy all:
I have owned DOHC Hondas since 1982 when I purchased my first CBX.  Some 20 years later I purchased my only 1100F which was quickly followed by my only CB1120RC.  Well, then I purchased the following - a 1972 CB450K5, a 1973 CB350F and a 1969 CB750.  These bikes are what brought me here.  I was having a problem in figuring out just where the neutral indicator light attached to the motor.  Shop manual didn't have it, so I searched here and received an answer from a member. As soon as I figure out how to post pics, I will do so.

Welcome!  For picture posting you need to have 5 posts or so under your belt, quite easy after that.

Here is a picture of the neutral swithc hole, just in case :)

BTW,  fill in your location in the info page, please.

Howdy all:

Thanks for the welcome.  I hit the search button and found what I think is the answer.  I sent cheftuskey121 a PM and he responded in the same way as 70CB750, so I am good to go.  As I was scoping the bottom of the motor, I noticed this area and wondered what it did, nothing was connected to it.  The PO had the wire unhooked and doubled back upon itself and taped up.  Guess he had no problem in finding neutral.  Thanks to all for the responses.

Nice bike! I like it.....What general area of KS? I "might' have one sidecover for a '69. I'd have to look around and see if I can locate it.

Rickman 4 me:

I am in the southeast corner of Kansas, how about you?  Thanks for offering the side cover, but I purchased one on eBay ($91) over a year ago, so I do not need another.  Here's some pics of the finished products I will be installing before too long.  This 1969 was sitting for over 12 years and needed the full monte - tires, chain, sprockets brakes, etc.  Had the paint done first because that always takes the longest.  Still working on other bikes, so time is slightly tight.
