What do I have here? Reg/Rect

I'm undoing/redoing my electronics. PO(s) seemed to have jammed whatever he/they could in there to get it to work. This is what I pulled out in the way of a regulator and rectifier. I looked at ebay and it does not look like the other ones on there. Are these aftermarket parts?



I'm going for space savings in the redo, already have a solid state rectifier and am thinking about getting the 'ole autozone voltage regulator (this one seems large, not sure how big the modern ones are).

1978 CB750A (upgrading very, very slowly)

Past bikes - Honda: SL350, CX650C, CB900C, CB1000C, CM450A; Kawasaki: several 1972 750 H2's; Suzuki: TC90J.

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.

no telling if the OEM reg/rec worked or not, but a decent upgrade at the expense of the PO  ;)

Yeah. I like that the VR has a pot. I'm planning to ditch the rect. It is high current though. Not sure why you would need 55 amps though.

I would just keep them, a combined unit or diff rectifier isn't gonna get much more space saving really,

I mounted the reg/rec combo under my battery box. Dead space that fits nicely. No wire extension or tight fit.
