Fork Gator fitment question..

Is there a way to use the original fork gators without using the original headlight/fork ears?

I haven't found a way by accident yet but if I were looking to do that, I would check out the way the older dirt bikes(Elsinores and such) had them attached. Most of the forks were 35 mm and those bikes didn't have  big  headlight /fork ears. A place to start.

Gators = Gaiters. Don't try to put Gators on your bike, please. They tend to crawl off and eat the neighbors!  :o ;D
