Greetings from JasonBox, friends call me JBOX.

I'm from Colorado, live in Columbus, OH, teach atmospheric and climate sciences at The Ohio State University, research Greenland ice sheet, yes, it’s melting, I know because I measure that in person.
I have two 1975 CB550F's. Pictured below is bike 1, half way through death-defying Columbus-Detroit ride (I75 was more scary than riding the ghettos. I avoid highway riding...

This is my 3rd bike, 1st (besides Briggs and Stratton, mini-bike!) was 1972 SL70, loved that bike, put 3000 mi of Colorado trail riding on it.
I rode CB550F #1 for 5 years, was great to me, and was wearing out (but now I'm restoring it).
In the meantime, I scored a 2800 mile CB550F ($635) on ebay. Here's before...

and after some restoration...

I still have that kool ferring, just interfered with reading speedo/tacho
I've learned a lot working on the bikes, greatest accomplishment was removing and reinstalling the new 550F’s engine after oil leak weld job (another interesting story)..
yet, still much to learn.
I began visiting sohc4.net in 2002, and now I'm back to learn from and hopefully hang out with, at least virtually, y'all.
It's my honor to be among you.
Cheers,
JBOX
