We need to put a teeny tiny Held jacket on GZ-3--apparently all people will remember from his ride through CA is Grumpy's spectacular jacket.  :o

Sal, it was an awesome 2 days. Glad we were able to hook up as  planned and make the trek together as far as SLO. The trip to Cambria for me and Pat was short and sweet, then Pat headed back home to try to beat nightfall. Sunday I rode a bit on the Route 58 he was talking about.....pretty desolate. Looking foward to next year already.

I was wondering if you hit any vultures on the way back  ;D

LOL.......I had forgotten about that vulture episode. Those things were like flying B-52's.........glad I ducked in time. I went back the same way and didn't see any on the return trip.

Godzillas a little pissed about being upstaged by Grumpys' sweet jacket. I offered him one of his own and he slapped me. I started crying but he told me he loved me and that of all his riders he loves me best.  Then I made him a proper jacket befitting a monster of his stature. We're about to go on a ride to break it in. Pics when I get back.

Nice.  But I don't buy even for a moment that YOU are his favorite rider FattMatt....those who have ridden with you know what a terror you truly are!  But I am looking forward to GZ-3 new stylin' CA look!

After suiting up in proper attire, we headed down the coast and into the mountains. He let me pick the route.

He really enjoyed climbing Tunitas Creek Rd., we'd descended it on the way home from the ride the other day but he was too tired to really pay attention then.

He  digs my bike, he wanted me to post this so he can check it out later.

Every time he saw one of those signs he'd start smacking me on the helmet with that cane to make me go faster.

Being partial to flake orange sunrise, I REALLY like Grumpy's 750. Beautiful bike.
I can see why you're partial to it, Doc! ;) It sure looks good on your bike, too! How many miles did you log?

Scott, I road about 430 miles round trip from Santa Clarita just north of L.A. to Cambria/San Simeon and back again on Sunday. I carried the serpent for about 130 miles, from Santa Clarita to just south of Santa Maria. At that point I realized that Gold Arrow was about to turn around and head home, and he hadn't yet carried GZ. Hence a sprint to flag down Mooshie for a roadside stop on the 101 to do the handoff.

Totally enjoyed meeting Mooshie, GreenHornet Sal, TriumphDude, GoldArrow, and Pat, who rode with me from SLO to San Simeon. For me the best part of the ride was Route 150 from Santa Paula to Ojai and then on past Lake Casitas to meet Mooshie on the coast. That road is some of the best and most beautiful 2 lane anywhere. I was sorry we msised Foxen Canyon, which I rode once before and absolutely loved.  Overall a great 2 days.

Hahah! I think it would be funny if each rider got to dress up GZ there own unique way. At the end of the rally we could have a fashion show and members could vote for their favorite.

Fatmatt650... too funny with GZ-3's pimping threads!

You guys are setting the bar pretty high.
