I have read several posts about a valve adjustment tool. Being the tight wad that I am I got to wondering if one could be made relatively easy? I pulled the valve covers, then I found out what size the adjuster nut was(10mm). I went to the tool box, grabbed an extra deepwell 10mm socket and cut the end off of it. Next I got a piece of 1/8''x 1/2'' flat steel and cut it about 6'' long. I set the cut off socket on the adjuster nut and held the piece of flat steel against the socket to get an approximate angle to attach it at. Took both pieces to the vise and welded them together with the MIG welder(just a cheap one). Round of the edges on the "handle", clean it all up real good inside and out. The deep well socket I used was hollow all the way through the socket and when you cut the square off the end of it it allowed you to get a screw driver through the center of it which allows you to hold the adjuster shaft for while you tighten the adjuster nut. It worked real good for me and I know I am not the only tight out there, so I thought I would pass it along to anyone who cared.
