Don't lovingly run your hand over your new paint job before you remove your wedding ring..

i picked up a 3M headlight lense restoration kit, just for the 4" buffing pad and hand drill adapter.  the soft foam pad made glazing and buffing easy.  might want to try and glaze it out first.

I think I'm good. This was a base coat before clearing. If it doesn't buff out I'll just respray it ;)

That sucks, I'm sure it will wet sand off easily. That's happened to me but while finish sanding drywall, nothing like another "final spot patch"...

Wow, more wedding ring horrors  ;D Sure hope that comes out. Doesn't really look scratched. Perhaps just a deposit from the metal? Try some solvents or even cleaners as long as they are compatible with that paint. Goof Off is good but it will take off latex.

My ex ruined 2 of my new car leather steering wheels raking her wedding ring across them then denied doing it. DOH, I don't wear jewelry and should have never given it to her anyway. Ex.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

The paint has been on for about 36 hours. I'll wait another day and then I think I can wet sand it off.

I'm gonna try to wet sand it out today. If it doesn't work I'll just put a big SOHC sticker over it :)

Lightly wet sanded for about 3 seconds and it came right out. Also got rid of my ring
