i got a bunch of early 80's goldwing parts. i've IDed most of them but i can't figure this one out.

don't know the 80's models but looks like an aftermarket cover for something. Can't see other side.
Slips on over exsisting piece for bling.

Cover for the front brakes? Post '84, for sure. Didn't have those things on the GL1000/1100's.

It is formed like it is supposed to fit in between fork tubes. But I just can't picture it. As Tugboat said, it's definitely not from a 75-77 1000 or any of the naked GL1000 and 1100's. It's possible that it is from one of the factory dresser Interstate or Aspencade models.

The 1500's had a piece that looked like that over the front brakes, but that looks too small to be the piece that I'm thinking of.

I've waited long enough. It's now WILD GUESS time.
To me, it looks as if if would fit in front of one of the banks of cylinders, and would be supported by a crash bar. It would be an after-market bling part.
